What’s the difference between the pet safety driving training video and the class?
Mainly the ability to replay the teaching points!
The movie only lasts 25 minutes versus the two day class.
You can enjoy the movie year round and watch it in as many places with as many friends as you desire.
The teaching points are the same both the class and the movie.
What skills will be demonstrated on the DVD?
- Understanding Instinctive Response
- Basic Vehicle Dynamics
- Steering Wheel Management & the effects on ‘vehicular’ lap dogs
- Driver Reaction – Braking & Turning
- Accident Avoidance – Pet crossing the road.
- Basic Pet Awareness Class – How do pets understand vehicle dynamics? Sound redundant? Think again.
This section clearly demonstrates that our understanding of speed, distance, and motion is quite different from that of our pet companions.
- Vehicle Ramming Demonstration – Clearly identifies the impact of a slow speed incident on the human and the Unwag’N Pets (mannequins)
* with and without restrains. This section is probably THE MOST poignant section of the teaching program.
Here you get direct insight into what happens to your pet during different incident scenarios.
- The weather conditions & your pet. Danger, Recognition and Response to hypothermia and hyperthermia. Here you will learn how to mitigate,
recognize and respond to various weather related emergencies while traveling with your pet(s).
